At Guerilla Staffing Solutions, the safety and well-being of our employees remain our top priority. In light of the recent natural calamities that have occurred in the Philippines, we took proactive steps to ensure that everyone in our workplace is prepared and informed in case of emergencies
Earthquake Preparedness Drill
This month, we conducted a surprise earthquake drill as part of our ongoing safety initiatives. Once the announcement was made, all employees immediately performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure to simulate what to do during an actual earthquake. When the emergency bell rang, signaling that the shaking had stopped, everyone calmly proceeded to the designated evacuation site.
A roll call was conducted to ensure everyone was accounted for, and we’re proud to share that all employees participated and were present during the drill.
Afterward, our team returned to their workstations for a quick but insightful safety briefing led by our safety officers. The session also included a short Q&A to address clarifications and reinforce important reminders. While the team demonstrated excellent coordination during the evacuation, the safety committee emphasized the proper procedures and the do’s and don’ts before, during, and after an earthquake.
During this session, we also introduced the Guerilla Disaster Preparedness Plan—a document designed for both our staff and clients. This plan outlines how Guerilla ensures employee safety, data protection, and operational continuity before, during, and after any natural disaster.
By sharing this plan, we aim to give our clients peace of mind, knowing that in any emergency, structured procedures are in place to safeguard our people and preserve their data.
Fire Evacuation Drill
To complement our earthquake preparedness efforts, we also conducted a fire evacuation drill this month to refresh everyone on the proper steps to take during a fire incident. Led by our safety team, all employees promptly evacuated the building and proceeded to the designated evacuation site, where attendance was verified to ensure everyone’s safety.
As part of the exercise, our safety officers simulated a quick inspection to identify the potential source of the fire, an important part of the learning process. Once the drill concluded, everyone returned to their workstations for a brief reminder about responding promptly to alarm signals and following evacuation routes efficiently.
Commitment to Preparedness
Through these drills, Guerilla Staffing Solutions continues to strengthen its culture of readiness, responsibility, and care. We believe that preparedness is more than just compliance, it’s a reflection of our commitment to ensuring the safety and confidence of every team member, as well as the trust of our valued clients.
